Quote of the week:

"So I get reincarnated as a Crouton?" - Simo

14/12: An mp3 of the recording we made of Bruise in Melbourne is now available. Follow the links in the 'Music' section.

13/12: Last week we spent four or so hours in a melbourne studio recording a version of Bruise. It sounds great, and we will put an mp3 up soon. The only thing was that we couldn't overdub a second guitar part, so this won't be the finished version for the EP. We will now be going down in January, rather than before Christmas, to record. Hopefully we'll have found a fourth member by then!! Cheers all.

4/12: Well, back to guitarist speculation, as Nads has decided not to join Crouton after all. We'll keep looking. On Thursday, we are going to Melbourne to record Bruise, and again in a couple of weeks to record the rest of the EP.

28/11: After weeks of intense speculation (or something like that), it's over: Crouton officially have a new guitarist. Adam 'Nads' Watson, also guitarist for CircaCzech, will be Crouton's fourth member. Next Thursday we go to Melbourne to hopefully record Bruise, before recording the rest of the EP (track list and title yet to be confirmed) next month.

14/11: Well, we haven't been contacted, so it looks like we aren't playing in the Star FM/Channel V comp. on Sunday. Ah well. For all those who don't know, Crouton will be recording an EP next month, in Melbourne. Nothing shoddy, like our first recording, but something of good quality. Hopefully it will be available next January or February.

29/10: Yes yes, getting lazier with the site all the time...Well, the show gigs have passed us by since last update, with mixed results. Friday night was terrible, with strings snapping, and effects playing up, and stuff cutting out!! Ah well. Saturday was somewhat better, and we played well, although to very few people. A big well done to Christopher's Case, who did an awesome job. Crouton are now going to settle down to some song writing. Also, stay tuned this week for some possible HUGE Crouton news.

15/10: The gig at the Bendigo Show has been confirmed, for both the 26th and the 27th (Friday and Saturday). Another couple of gigs are coming up also, including a Melbourne vs. Bendigo gig, where the two cities will compete, with about 3 bands from each. Details of that won't be up until everything's confirmed. The new song is now called Bruise, instead of Dream, which we are much happier with. We hope to see everyone at the old Fire Station on Saturday night.

2/10: I know, I know, it's been almost a month since the last news! We finished a new song last week, as yet untitled, but it sounds good, nice and rock, with a big solo!! This Saturday night we are playing at a party as the only band, and will play 'Singalong' and the new song for the first time live.

11/9: There is a possible gig coming up as part of the Bendigo show. The FReeZA committee will be organising it. We've put pics from Maryborough up, feel free to leave opinions on the guestbook!!

2/9: An acoustic version of Singalong Lo-Fi Love Song should now be available at www.mp3.com.au/crouton. If it's not there, check back in a few days, and it will be. Cheers.

31/8: Sorry about the lack of news, but there really hasn't been anything to say. The FReeZA gig with Frog In A Sock (congratulations on winning 2nd round Campus Bands, guys) etc. will be on, but not until maybe November. Our new song, Singalong Lo-Fi Love Song, is now finished, and sounding good. We'll keep writing, but are looking forward to more gigs, when we can find some...we'll keep you updated.

16/8: Last night's heat of the National Campus Bands certainly didn't go as well as we would have liked. Some problems with microphones and foldback meant we couldn't really hear what was going on, and we didn't play very well. Still, we'll chalk it up to experience and move on. Congratulations to the always rocking Frog In A Sock, who blitzed the Tafe comp, and Who Is Johnny Memphis, who won the slightly more laidback uni. comp. We have a break from gigs now, so we'll concentrate on getting some new material written. Look out for new songs next time we hit the stage!!

13/8: Well, we finally have downloadable music. Go to www.mp3.com.au and download Tired and Sorry, to support us. Please.
