Bletherism

A nervous twitch
Now she sees only stars
for sure
It's hard to see
why nothing will stand still
for her

A nervous twitch
can bring you to your knees
for sure
The world inside
her head still seems intact
to her

The world is blurred
like ripples in the air
a nervous twitch

It's hard to see clearly
It's hard to see at all
It's too late, it's too late

It's over
She sees clearly now
It's not too late

Info

This is the rarest Crouton song. It has only been played once live, without drums, and may never be again. The song never really 'clicked'. Simon was told one night that the word bletherism meant a nervous twitch in the eye. Being smashed, he couldn't pronounce it until the next morning. He loved the word, and insisted that Crouton write a song called Bletherism.
